Prague, Czech Republic

We have been waiting to go ‘czech’ this city out for a couple years now and finally got a chance to this Spring (April 2018).  What a lovely capital city it is – bustling with history, cobblestone streets, gothic churches, colorful baroque buildings and of course the beer! Czech Republic consumes the most beer out of any country in the world.  When you visit you will see and taste first hand why – its smooth, delicious and cheaper than water! Find out more what we did on our trip below and in the next post where we ate!

Milan, Italy

It was our first time in staying in Milano.  Kay had passed through Milano Centrale on the way to Lake Como 10 years ago while studying abroad in Florence.  Milan is a high fashion, fast-paced metropolis.  Very different from other Italian cities we have visited.  It’s the city of the future, where people really care about what they are wearing, creativity is big business and work drinks are an art form.

There are many different neighborhoods – some of our favorites being Porta Nuova/ Isola and Brera.  We enjoyed walking the streets and exploring this Northern Italian city, but wouldn’t make a special trip back unless we had to pass through or had work there.  If you find yourself in Milano, be sure to check out these spots and you will be sure to have a lovely time ! Copenhagen: Sleep, Eat, Play

Two things can make or break your trip….your accommodations and your food selections.  You can make the most of any city if you have the best place to sleep and delicious food to eat.  Agree?  So on our holiday to Copenhagen we decided to book an Airbnb instead of a hotel since we were making Copenhagen our home base for a week.  Having a kitchen and common area allowed us to come home and relax before dinner or wake up and enjoy our morning coffee with fresh baked goods on our back balcony.  We couldn’t have picked the most perfect flat….details below!

Copenhagen: What Sites to Visit

This past April, we traveled to Copenhagen to see for ourselves what a hygge was all about.  Not only did we experience hygge, we also saw some beautiful sites.  Below are some places we toured while on holiday in Denmark.  If you are wanting to check out multiple attractions, we highly suggest getting the Copenhagen Card, it will save you money!!

This past trip was accompanied by great weather, lovely co-workers and some fantastic pintxos hopping.  T revisited some of our favorite pintxos bars and found some new ones.  Here are some of the highlights of the trip.

Helsinki, Finland

Helsinki is Finland’s capital that is home to the national Museum tracing Finnish history from the Stone Age to the present.  It’s a vibrant seaside city of beautiful islands and green parks.  T.W.O. enjoyed our time in Helsinki even if it was for both work and play.  We got to explore most of the city and even took a day trip to Estonia which we will be talking about in our next post.  We aren’t ‘finnished’ yet – go ahead and read what we did in Helsinki!   Stats: 620,982 people | 300+ islands | 1 sea fortress | most saunas per capita in the world

Florence, Italy

Florence | Firenze | The Best

We can officially say both of us have been to Florence, but separate times.  K was able to study abroad in this beautiful city during her junior year at UCSB.  Now T got to experience it for herself.  All those years k talked about how much she loved this city and T now knows why.  And for our readers – here is why:
