Capri

Ciao Capri! An island of beauty, glitz, delicious food, friendly locals and brilliant handmade leather sandals.  With a jagged coast, famous faraglioni (sea stacks) and numerous grottos, Capri stole our hearts!  Capri was part of our “last minute pivot” so we booked this portion of the trip less than 24 hours before departing the States.  A little stressful, but we ended up with a great itinerary for the three days we were on the island.  Enjoy our adventures around Capri!

Ischia

My brilliant friend – Ischia! An island that has been in our “travel vault” and we haven’t had a chance to get there, but fortunately on this trip we had a change of plans that brought us to this beautiful place.  We had originally planned to go to Ibiza, but with increase of Covid cases and curfews we felt like Italy was a safer destination the night before we left for our two week trip. Having done some prior research of the island, the trip was booked within hours of departure for Europe and it came together nicely! We learned more about the island while we were there and would 100% go back to explore even more. It’s a destination that is visited by Italians (hardly any Americans) and your euro goes a long way.  Enjoy our two days in Ischia!

6 Day Puglia Itinerary

Monopoli, Italy

Who wants to play see Monopoli ??  Of course you are going to want to see Monopoli and maybe in fact you will get the chance to play Monopoly in Monopoli! Unfortunately we didn’t since we were only there for one night.  Upon arrival, we were dropped off right at the walls of Old Town and we were able to walk to our B&B.  The town of Monopoli is a fishing town that dates back to 500 B.C.   The town was explained to us as quaint..which it was, but I would have to say it felt bigger than Polignano a Mare.  Still the narrow cute streets, shutters and flowers but more people filled the streets at night.  Scroll down more to find out about our 36 hours in Monopoli.

Martina Franca, Alberobello, Locorotondo

The best part of Puglia is that the region is relatively small, so day trips are very easy! We hired a driver to pick us up from Polignano a Mare and take us inland to three cities.  Find our more about our day trip below!

Florence, Italy

Florence | Firenze | The Best

We can officially say both of us have been to Florence, but separate times.  K was able to study abroad in this beautiful city during her junior year at UCSB.  Now T got to experience it for herself.  All those years k talked about how much she loved this city and T now knows why.  And for our readers – here is why:
